100th Aradhana of Jagadguru Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhanava Nrisimha Bharati Mahaswamiji


 

The 100th Aradhana Mahotsava of the 33rd Shankaracharya of the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati Mahaswamiji (1879-1912) will be celebrated on March 24, 2012 corresponding to Chaitra Shuddha Dvitiya.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji who has undertaken a Dakshina Bharata Vijaya Yatra and is presently in Coimbatore, will perform special puja and conduct the Aradhana at Coimbatore on the aforementioned date. Aradhana ceremonies will be observed at the Adhishthanam of the Jagadguru in Narasimhavanam, Sringeri and in branch Maths.

Special Celebrations have been organized in two places that have a special shrine with the marble statue of the Mahaswamiji – the Sringeri Shankara Math at Srirangam and in Abhinava Shankaralaya in Mysore (the birthplace of the Mahaswamiji).

On this occassion, a short Documentary film has been compiled giving insight into the life of this great soul and why his efforts were so pivotal for vibrance of Sanatana Dharma today.

The 33rd Jagadguru of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham has verily been eulogised as an incarnation of Sri Adi Shankaracharya himself. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji composed a stotra entitled ” connoting this. This stotra along with a free english translation with audio accompaniment is published in the
Stotra section of the website.

Also the book entitled “A Sage par excellence”, being a concise yet comprehensive biography of the Jagadguru in English, apt for modern audience, released during the centennary celebrations of the re-discovery of Kalady has been released as a E-Book and is available for download gratis at the book page.
