तस्मात्त्वद्वाहता चास्य युक्तैव विधिवल्लभे ॥

O Sharada! Consort of Lord Brahma! The peacock is addressed in Sanskrit as Shikhi, and is hence as pure as Agni (which is also called Shikhi). It is thus indeed apt that You have the peacock as your Vaahana (vehicle).
