Nitya Pooja details

Nitya pooja is performed in the morning and evening with Abhishekham to Lord Vinayagar and Sivalingam.  On special occasions like Mahalaya Ammavasya and Prathistan day, Abhishekham is performed  to Sri Sharadhamba and Sri Adi Shankara,

  • Acharyai vardhanthi in March / April every year, celebrated with Rudra Ekadashi, special pooja, homam, followed by annadhanam
  • Aradhanai in August/September every year as per the traditions of our mutt.
  • Sankara jeyanthi for 5 days – celebrated at the mutt by the Brahmna Samugam of Kallidaikurichi – special jepam, poojam archanai, rudra ekadashi on the 5th day followed by annadhanam.
  • Dhanur Masa pooja – offered through public contribution for all the 30 days
  • Karithika Somavara pooja – Nov/ Dec
  • Sivarathri- special abishgam and pooja through out night -four kalams
