Sri Vidytheertha Foundation has been conducting an Inter-School essay competition from the year 1995 as per the directions of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Bharathi Theertha Mahaswamigal in the city of Chennai, capital of Tamil Nadu. The main objective of this competition is to inculcate moral,ethical,traditional and patriotic values in students.

On Sunday, the July 18, 2010 (Ashtami Bhagavati Seva was performed at the Sringeri Shankara Math in Mumbai in which a large number of devotees attended and participated.

Deepa Pooja was performed by Suvasinis on Friday, the 30th July 2010 at Sri Sringeri Shankara Math, Chembur Mumbai. Around 100 suvasinis participated in it. Lalitha Sahasranama was recited by Dharma Pracharakar Shri A.S. Gopalakrishnan and suvasinis performed the archana on the deepas.

Vyasa Pooja will be performed on “Guru Purnima” falling on Sunday, 25th July 2010 at 10.30 am at Mumbai math. All are requested to participate in the Pooja and receive the blessings of our Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharathi Tirtha Mahaswamiji.

In continuation of the monthly celebrations on Mrigasheersha Nakshantram, the following Homas and Sangeetha Sevas will be performed in July and August 2010 at Sringeri Shankara Math, Mumbai.

With the benign blessings of Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Dhanvantri Homam was performed on Sunday, 13th June 2010. Being a Sunday, there was a large gathering of devotees. In the evening, Sangeeta Seva was performed by Sri Vignesh Easwar accompanied by Sri Shivakumar in violin and Sri Sriram in mridangam.

With the benign blessings of the Jagadguru Sri Sankaraya Jayanthi Mahotsavam and 19th Prathishtha day celebrations was celebrated in a grand manner in the Mumbai Sringeri Shankara math.

To commemorate the beginning of the year-long 60th birthday celebrations of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji Religious and cultural programmes are going to be conducted in the month of May and June 2010, details of which are published.
