Telecast of Vyasa Puja
Vyasa Puja performed by the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji at Narasimhavanam, Sringeri, is planned to be telecast on the website on the 25th of July 2010. Timings of the webcast will be announced soon.
Telecast of Kalady Centenary celebrations
“Punya Bhoomi Kalady”, a documentary on the rediscovery of Kalady, Sri Adishankaracharya Janma Bhoomi Kshetram in the Holy words of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Sringeri Sharada Peetham and featuring the Centenary celebrations at Kalady, Kumbhabhishekam of the shrines of Sri Sharadamba and Sri Adi Shankaracharya, Interview with Padmasri Dr. V. R. Gowrishankar, Administrator of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, and other important personalities will be telecast on ‘DD Podhigai’ on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the 10th, 11th and 12th of July 2010 respectively between 9:00 and 9:25 PM.
Aradhana of Jagadguru Sri Vruddha Nrisimha Bharati Mahaswamiji
The 131st Aradhana of the 32nd Acharya of the Peetham, Brahmibhuta Jagadguru Sri Narasimha Bharati Mahaswamiji was celebrated in Sringeri on the 14th of June 2010. Jagadguru Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji offered special worship at the Adhisthanam of His Parapara Guru, accompanied by the sonorous chanting of Vedic hymns by the Math Panditas.
Guru Vandanam function and Departure from Kalady
On the evening of June 4th, a Guru Vandanam function was organized at Kalady to commemorate and honour the Yatra of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji to Kalady on the occasion of the Centenary Celebrations
Jagadguru inaugurates Sringeri Ayurveda Dham
On June 4th, the Mahaswamiji inaugurated the new Sringeri Ayurveda Dham that houses the Vidya Bharati Health Care Ltd. The Dham is located about 20 km from Kalady Malayatoor in a sylvan setting along the banks of the Poorna river.
Jagadguru graces the Peetham’s educational Institutions at Kalady
The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji graced Sri Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering Technology on 27th May. Visiting for the first time since the Institute was started, the Mahaswamiji inaugurated an Entrance Arch and planted an Ashwatta sapling in the campus.
Jagadguru graces Mattancherry and Ernakulam
At the invitation of the Karanthayar Palayam Maha Samooham and the Brahmins Welfare Association (affiliated to Kerala Brahmana Sabha) at Kochi, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji visited Mattancherry and Ernakulam on 1st and 2nd June. On 1st June, the Mahaswamiji was received at Anavathil Kotta, Mattancherry, Kochi with Poornakumbham by Sri V Ramalingam, President, Kerala Brahmana Sabha and Sri V S Parasurama Iyer, Managing Trustee of the Samooham.
Narasimha Jayanti observed at Kalady
Lord Narasimha has a special place in the life of Sri Adi Shankaracharya as is evident from the Madhaviya Shankara Digvijaya. Fittingly, the Narasimha Jayanti fell on May 26th this year during the Centenary Celebrations at Kalady. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji offered special worship in the afternoon to Lord Narasimha at the Kshetram.
Jagadguru at the temples of Sri Krishna and Devi Katyayani
The Jagadguru visited the shrines of Sri Krishna and Devi Katyayani, which are associated with Sri Adi Shankaracharya’s childhood in Kalady and had darshan of the presiding deities.
Mahaswamiji graces Bhagavata Utsava at Perumbavoor
Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharathi Tirtha Mahaswamiji graced the week-long “Tapasya-Mathrubhoomi Bhagavatotsavam” in the evening of 13th May at Sastha Nagar, Permbavoor.
The organizers expressed that it is the good fortune of the people of Perumbavoor that the Mahaswamiji graced the venue.
