A Unique temple for Sri Adi Shankaracharya at Sringeri
A beautiful temple, one of its kind, for the 8th century philosopher saint, Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya was consecrated at the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri in Karnataka on 16th February 2011.
Live telecast of Pratishtha Kumbhabhishekam of Sri Shankaracharya Temple
The Pratishtha Kumbhabhisheka Mahotsava of Sri Adi Shankaracharya temple will be telecast live on Sri Shankara TV on the 16th of February 2011 from 9:00 AM onwards. Those who do not have access to Sri Shankara TV on their Television sets, can watch the entire event live through their website at the following URL.
Ardrotsava
Ardrotsava took place on December 22nd 2010 with the Mahamangalarati to Lord Malahanikareshwara and Goddess Bhavani being performed early morning in the Jagadguru’s divine presence. Devotees were present for the Mahamangalaarti and the grand procession at around 5 AM on the chill December morning.
Shaankara Tattvaprasaara Abhiyaanam at Mysore
Under the direction of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the Peetham has launched a programme called the Shaankara Tattva Prasaara Abhiyaanam in November 2009. As part of the Abhiyaanam, a first level programme, similar to the ones conducted in Sringeri, Kollur and Bangalore, was held on December 25 and 26, 2010 in the Sringeri Shankara Math premises in Mysore.
Shatachandi Mahayaga at Kalikamba temple
Shatachandi Mahayaga was performed at Sri Kalikamba temple in December 2010 for 5 days. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed a Special puja to Kalaikamba on 20th December and graced the Poornahuti of the Shatachandi Mahayaga on 21st December.
