Kumbhabhisheka of Sri Adi Shankaracharya Temple January 23, 2011

In accordance with the sankalpa of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, construction of a grand new temple for Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya began a few years back. Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji will install the murti of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya and perform Kumbhabhisheka at the newly constructed beautiful temple complex at Sringeri on the 16th of February 2011.

Shaankara Tattvaprasaara Abhiyaanam at Mysore December 26, 2010

Under the direction of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the Peetham has launched a programme called the Shaankara Tattva Prasaara Abhiyaanam in November 2009. As part of the Abhiyaanam, a first level programme, similar to the ones conducted in Sringeri, Kollur and Bangalore, was held on December 25 and 26, 2010 in the Sringeri Shankara Math premises in Mysore.

Ardrotsava December 22, 2010

Ardrotsava took place on December 22nd 2010 with the Mahamangalarati to Lord Malahanikareshwara and Goddess Bhavani being performed early morning in the Jagadguru’s divine presence. Devotees were present for the Mahamangalaarti and the grand procession at around 5 AM on the chill December morning.

Under the direction of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the Peetham has launched a programme called the Shaankara Tattva Prasaara Abhiyaanam on 30th November 2009. The programme focuses on developing Pravachanakaras to spread the tenets of Sanatana Dharma and Advaita Vedanta with emphasis on the life and works of Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada.
