Pratishtha Dinam celebrations at West Mambalam Sringeri Math


 

Every year, Varshika Mahotsavam celebrations are conducted at the shrines of Sri Ratnagarbha Ganapathy, Sri Saradambal and Sri Navaneethakrishna at the Branch Math premises on the star on which the Kumbhabhishekam of the shrines was performed by His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Bharati Theertha Mahaswamiji in the year 1982. This year, the said day falls on 09.02.2011. The programme commences at 7.15 A.M in the morning with Ganapathy Homa, Mahanyasa Ekadasha Rudra Japa, Abhisheka at the shrines, Purnahuti of Sri Rudra Homa, Kalasabhisheka and Deeparadhana followed by distribution of prasada to all devotees at 12.45 P.M. In the evening, around 7 P.M, the deities (utsavamurthys) will be taken in procession along the adjoining streets of the Branch Math in different vahanas, amidst veda ghosha and vaadya. The procession will return to the Math premises at 11 PM.

On the 10.02.2011, (Rathasaptami), at 7 P.M the deities will again be taken in procession, this time covering the streets of West Mambalam which were not covered the previous evening. The procession will reach the Math at 11
P.M.

All devotees are requested to participate in the Varshika Mahotsava – the japa, homa, abhisheka and the procession and become the recipients of Sri Sri Ratnagarbha Ganapathy, Sri Saradambal and Sri Navaneethakrishna and
of the Jagadguru.
