The annual Durgamba Rathotsava took place in Sringeri on March 6, 2017 at the temple of Goddess Vanadurga. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam led the Rathotsava.

Earlier, Sri Mahasannidhanam arrived at the temple of Goddess Durgamba at around noon and performed an elaborate Pooja to Goddess Durgamba amidst chanting of Vedic Mantras by the Pandits of the Sringeri Math. Sri Sannidhanam crossed the river Tunga from Narasimha Vanam and then arrived at the temple in a procession. Sri Sannidhanam had Darshan at the temple witnessing Sri Mahasannidhanam perform Mahamangalarati to Goddess Durgamba.

Annadanam then took place for all the assembled devotees. In the evening, Sri Sannidhanam led the Rathotsava amidst chants of the Vedic hymns. The event was witnessed by many thousands of devotees who had gathered at the temple for the function.

The following day (March 7, 2017), Poornahuti of the Shatachandi Yaga conducted on the occasion in the temple premises, took place in the divine presence of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus.
