Mahaswamiji was observed reverentially on October 27, 2017. The following day (October 28), Sri Vidyashankara Rathotsava carrying the Utsava Moorti of the deity took place.

Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam in the morning in Narasimha Vanam. Balindra Pooja was performed

in the evening at Goddess Sharada temple in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam.

Shata Jayanti (Birth Centenary) Celebrations of 35th Jagadguru Sringeri October 20, 2017

The birth centenary of the 35th Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji (1917-1989, Sannyasa in 1931, Peetharohanam in 1954) took place in Sringeri with great enthusiasm. A number of events took place on the occasion with the Blessings of the Sringeri Jagadgurus.

On October 12, 2017, Ashtabandha Kumbhabhisheka of the Kalabhairava took place. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Mahasannidhanam performed a special Puja and the Ashtabandha Kumbhabhisheka to Lord Kalabhairava. Sri Sannidhanam was also present on the occasion.

Sharada Sharan Navaratri Celebrations Sringeri October 5, 2017

The Sharada Sharan Navaratri Celebrations at Sringeri commenced on the Mahalaya Amavasya day falling the September 20, 2016. Mahabhisheka was performed to Goddess Sharada in the presence of Sri Sannidhanam, Jagadguru Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati

Mahaswamiji, amidst chants of Saraswati Sukta, Devi Sukta, and Ratri Sukta from the Rig Veda and Saraswati Sukta, Medha Sukta, Sri Sukta and Durga Sukta from the Yajur Veda. After the Mahabhisheka, Goddess Sharadamba gave Darshan as Jagat Prasutika signifying her role as

the Divine Mother of the Universe. Mahamangalarati was performed in the presence of Sri Mahasannidhanam, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji.
