During the month of Dhanur (mid Dec 2011 to mid Jan 2012), Maharudrabhisheka was performed for Adi Shankara by chanting Sri Rudram 1331 times by 25 Veda pundits for two days at Sringeri Math, Pune. This was followed by Maha Rudra Homam.

The first ever Veda Sammelanam in The USA is being organized by the Sringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation (USA) with the blessings of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji on April 14 2012. Further details are provided in the brochure given below.

With the blessings of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Mahashivaratri will be celebrated in a grand manner at Bangalore as in all temple branches of the Sringeri Math. The entire event will be telecast on Sri Shankata TV and also on the website between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Sri Dattatreya Yajna was conducted on the 5th of February 2012 at Sringeri Math, Pune. The disciples of Shri Ramakrishna Kshirsagar maharaj, who was the Peethadheeshwar of the devasthana, participated in large numbers.

This year, MahaShivaratri at Sringeri Math, Pune, will be celebrated on 20 feb 2012 (Monday).

This year Deepa Puja was performed at Pune Sringeri Shankara Math on the 27th of January. Around 100 suvasinis participated in the event. After the puja, Mahaprasadam was offered to all who had gathered at the temple.

On Monday, the 30th Janaury 2012, Ratha-Saptami was celebrated with special Soorya Namaskaram being performed at Sri Sringeri Math, Chembur, Mumbai. Large number of devotees participated in the Namaskaram and the vidyarthis of Sri Abhinava Vidya Tirta Veda Samskrita Patashala recited Aruna Prasnam.

With the Benign Blessings of Dakshinamnaya Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Sringeri Sharada Peetham, Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Mahashivarathri will be celebrated on Monday, the 20th February 2012.

Lalitha Homam was performed for the first time at Sri Sringeri Math, Chembur, Mumbai on Lalitha Panchami day, on Saturday, the January 28, 2012. Large number of devotees attended the Homam and received blessings of Goddess Lalita.
