Jagadguru graces the Peetham’s educational Institutions at Kalady June 3, 2010

The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji graced Sri Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering Technology on 27th May. Visiting for the first time since the Institute was started, the Mahaswamiji inaugurated an Entrance Arch and planted an Ashwatta sapling in the campus.

Jagadguru graces Mattancherry and Ernakulam June 2, 2010

At the invitation of the Karanthayar Palayam Maha Samooham and the Brahmins Welfare Association (affiliated to Kerala Brahmana Sabha) at Kochi, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji visited Mattancherry and Ernakulam on 1st and 2nd June. On 1st June, the Mahaswamiji was received at Anavathil Kotta, Mattancherry, Kochi with Poornakumbham by Sri V Ramalingam, President, Kerala Brahmana Sabha and Sri V S Parasurama Iyer, Managing Trustee of the Samooham.

The Jagadguru will proceed to Mattanchery in Kerala on the 1st of June 2010 and will camp at Mattanchery. The Jagadguru will visit Ernakulam on the 2nd of June 2010 and then return to Kalady Sri Adi Shankaracharya Janma Bhoomi Kshetram on the same evening. Details of the camp are given below …

The centenary celebrations of the re-discovery of Sri Adi Shankaracharya Janma Bhoomi Kshetram Kalady, the birth place of Sri Adi Shankaracharya was celebrated in a grand manner in the August presence of the Jagadguru.

Lord Narasimha has a special place in the life of Sri Adi Shankaracharya as is evident from the Madhaviya Shankara Digvijaya. Fittingly, the Narasimha Jayanti fell on May 26th this year during the Centenary Celebrations at Kalady.
