Annadanam seva at Suraikayur by Sringeri Math, Pune February 2, 2012

Suraikayur is a small village near Ayyampet raliway station in Thanjavur District. During the Tamil month of Aavani (Shravana) in solar calendar, for 3 days, Surya Pooja is done; the Sun’s rays fall on the lingam during all these days. With the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Pune branch of Sringeri Math, offered annadanam on all the three days of Surya pooja to all the devotees at Suraikayur.

Annasantarpanam at Ved Shastrotejas sabha, Pune January 9, 2012

Vedshastrotejas sabha, Pune conducts the annual sanskrit examination (including Ghanapatam) for 10 days. Vidyarthis (students) and Vedic pundits (examiners) come from all the country to participate in this prestigious event. During the 2011 examination period, Sringeri Math, Pune sponsored the annasantarpanam for all the days.
