Shata-Chandi Yagam concludes with Purnahuti in the August presence of the Jagadguru


 

Purnahuti of Shata Chandi Maha Yagam at Kalady Sringeri Shankara Math in the presence of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji

The five day long Shata-Chandi Yaga at Kalady concluded with the Purnahuti ceremony, here at Kalady, today, the 28th of May 2010 at around 11:30 AM.

The yaga performed on the occasion of the hundredth year of the rediscovery of the Adi Shankaracharya Janma Bhoomi Kshetram by the 33rd Jagadguru of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Narasimha Bharati Yaga was performed beginning from the 24th of May 2010, inside the complex, near the temple of Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Many ritwijas from various part of South India assembled at Kalady and successfully performed the Yaga in honour of the Mother Goddess. On the occassion of the Centenary celebrations, Ati Rudra Maha Yaga is also being performed, the Purnahuti of which will be on 30th May 2010.

The concluding Purnahuti ceremony was performed, today in the August presence of The Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji as skies grew dark and heavy downpour began even as the Purnahuti was in progress.
