The Vardhanti of Mahasannidhanam Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji will be celebrated on March 25, 2015 at Sringeri.
On the occasion hundreds of thousands of devotees from all parts of the country and abroad will congregate at Sringeri to seek the blessings of the Jagadguru Mahaswamiji.
As a part of the celebrations, many Vedic ceremonies will be performed beginning March 22, 2015. On March 25, 2015, the Jagadguru will bless all devotees at morning and perform a special puja to Goddess Sri Sharadamba at noon. A special Guru Vandanam function has also been arranged at evening on the same day, in which the Jagadguru will bless all with a benedictory speech.
Eminent musicians will also perform at the Sri Math, as a part of the festivities from March 21 to March 28, 2015.
Details of the various Vedic and Cultural functions are given in the Invitation brochure below. All devotees are welcome to participate in the Vardhanti celebrations and be a recipient of the grace of the Jagadguru Shankaracharyas and Goddess Sri Sharadamba.
As part of the Shankara Jayanti Celebrations at Sringeri this year, the Annual Vedaposhaka Sabha Examinations will be held from 19th April 2015 to 23rd April 2015. Advanced Students of Vedas are welcome to participate in the Vedic Examinations to be conducted during this time.

All the Sevakas of Sringeri Sharada Peetham who were involved in the preparation and conduct of the Uttaradhikari Shishya Sweekara function assembled at Gurunivas in Narasimhavanam on the morning of January 30, 2015 to have Darshan of Mahasannidhanam, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji and Sannidhanam, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji and offered Samashti Bhikshavandanam.
Lalita Panchami was celebrated on 25th January 2015. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji offered special worship to Goddess Sharadamba on the occasion. Ratha Saptami was observed on 26th January 2015.
One hundred and twenty years ago, in 1895, corresponding to the “Manmatha” year in the traditional Indian Almanac, the 33rd Jagadguru Shankaracharya of the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham at Sringeri, Sri Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Narasimha Bharati Mahaswamiji founded the Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala to foster and promote Vedic education. Since then, the Pathashala has been playing a vital role in preserving the hoary Vedic wisdom by producing many Vedic as well as Shastric scholars year after year.
