Jagadguru graces Rik Samhita Yaga at Anegunda
On 8th May, the Jagadguru graced the Agrahara of Anegunda near Sringeri. The Jagadguru was received with Poornakumbha by devotees and first had Darshan at the temples of Sri Gopalakrishna Swamy and Sri Gangadhareshwara Swamy.
Rama Navami Celebrations
On April 19th, Sri Rama Navami was celebrated at Sringeri. The Jagadguru performed an elaborate Puja at noon to Sri Ramachandra.
Mahamatrusri Tangirala Anantalakshmamma attains the Lotus Feet of God
Mahamatrusri Tangirala Anantalakshmamma, wife of late Vedic scholar Vedabrahmasri Venkateshwara Avadhani attained the Lotus Feed of the Lord in the early hours of 11th April 2013. Reverentially referred to as “Amma” by one and all, she had been living a life of simplicity and exuded compassion and affection on everyone.
63rd Vardhanti Celebrations
The 63rd Vardhanti of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji was celebrated on 16th April 2013.
118th Varshikotsava of Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala
The 118th Varshikotsava of Sri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala took place on 8th April 2013. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji graced a function held in the morning at Guru Nivas to commemorate the event.
