Ksheerabdhi Dwadashi
The twelfth day of the bright fortnight in the month of Kartika is well known as Ksheerabdi Dwadashi. This year, On 18th November 2010, Ksheerabdhi Dwadashi was celebrated with the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performing a special Puja to Lord Lakshminarasimha in Narasimhapura Agraha in Sringeri. Dhatri Homa and Tulasi Kalyanam were also performed at the temple earlier. The same evening, Deepotsava was celebrated at the shrine of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami as well as the shrine of Tulasi facing the temple of Sri Janardana Swami near Sri Vidyashankara Temple.

Vidyashankara Aradhana
The magnificent 14th century temple dedicated to Lord Vidyashankara temple is built over the Samadhi location of the 10th Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Vidyatirtha. Sri Vidyashankara Rathotsava was celebrated on a grand scale during Kartika Shukla paksha. The Aradhana and Rathotsava festival spanned seven days from Karthika Shukla Tritiya to Navami.

Shaankara Tattvaprasara Abhiyanam at Mysore on Dec 25 and 26, 2010
Under the direction of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, the Peetham has launched a programme called the Shaankara Tattva Prasaara Abhiyaanam on 30th November 2009. The programme focuses on developing Pravachanakaras to spread the tenets of Sanatana Dharma and Advaita Vedanta with emphasis on the life and works of Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada.

Laksha Deepostsava Celebrations
Laksha Deepostsava of Sri Malahanikareshwara and Sri Sharadamba will be celebrated at Sringeri on the 21st of November 2010 in the august presence of His Holiness the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji.

Work on the Rajagopuram at the main entrance of the Peetham began in February 2008.

Deepavali Celebrations
On the occasion of Deepavali (November 5th), Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji blessed all Astikas with a message that as lamps are lighted all around, everyone must remember the teachings of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya and strive to move along the path of Dharma leading to the light of knowledge.
Jayantis of previous Acharyas celebrated
Jayantis of Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji and Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji were held on November 2nd and November 5th respectively.
Jagadguru blesses participants of Yoga camp
About 300 attendees of a Yoga camp, organized at Sringeri, assembled at Guru Nivas for the Jagadguru’s Blessings on October 31st 2010.

Pattabhisheka day of the Jagadguru
Sahasra Narikela Homa was performed on October 27th marking the 21st anniversary of Pattabhisheka day (the day of the ascendance to the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham) of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji.

Sharada Sharannavaratri Celebrations
Navaratri Celebrations began with the performance of Mahabhisheka to Goddess Sharada on Mahalaya Amavasya (7th October). The Goddess was decorated as Jagat Prasutika after the Mahabhisheka.
