Description

“Homage to Sri Sadashiva Brahmendral” is a compilation of compositions of Sri Sadashivendra Saraswati Mahaswami, the great Rajayogin of the South. ‘Sri Sadashiva Brahmendral’ as he was more popularly known was a Yogi par excellence and also a sanyasin of the Paramahamsa order. Though he led a life of silence, at the suggestion of His Guru, he composed many beautiful songs in praise of Lord Rama and Krishna and a few on the Vedantic Truth.

This present Compact Disc is a compilation of eleven select  compositions in MP3 format melodiously rendered by Sri T.M. Krishna and Smt. Sangeetha Sivakumar in popular Carnatic Ragas to the accompaniment of Violin and Mridangam by — respectively.

A redeeming feature of this MP3 Compact Disc is that it begins with a benedictory discourse by His Holiness Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswami extolling the greatness of Sri Sadashivendra Saraswati Mahaswami. This is followed by Sri Sadashivendra Pancharatna Stotram, an hymn composed by the 33rd Acharya of Sri Sharada Peetham, Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati Mahaswami at Nerur in the Adhishthanam of Sri Sadashivendra Saraswati Mahaswami; again rendered by  Sri T.M. Krishna and Smt. Sangeetha Sivakumar.
