Varamahalakshmi Vrata
Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji observed Varamahalakshmi Vrata and worshipped Goddess Varamahalakshmi in the evening of August 21, 2026. As part of the Vrata puja, the Jagadguru invoked the Goddess in a Kalasha. After the Jagadguru performed the Mahamangalarati, Suvasini puja was performed. Prior to the Puja, Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam performed Gaja Lakshmi Puja.

132nd Varshikotsava of Sringeri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Maha Pathashala, Annual day
The 132nd Varshikotsava celebrations of Sri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala was held on August 18, 2026, at Guru Nivas. The morning Sabha conducted in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam began with Veda Ghosha, prayer, Phala samarpanam to Sri Sannidhanam followed by a welcome speech by Adhyapaka, Vidwan Sri Krishnaraja Bhat. The annual report of the pathashala was read out by the Pathashala's Adhyaksha, Vidwan Sri Vinayaka Udupa.
On this occasion, the chief guest Veda Brahmasri Dr Sriram Ghanapathi distributed prizes to the students who took part in various competitions held by the Pathashala. Students who won the Sanskrit and Kannada oratorical competitions spoke in front of the Jagadguru and received blessings. Various endowments established by devotees were awarded to the senior faculty and students of the Pathashala.
Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam released the Pathashala’s annual magazine, ‘Sadvidya’. Sri Sannidhanam then released the 21st edition of “Sadvidya”, the annual souvenir of the Pathashala containing articles in Sanskrit and Kannada penned by scholars, students and alumni of the Pathashala.
Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam blessed the gathering with an Anugraha Bhashanam.
In the evening, the students of the Pathashaala presented a beautifully staged Sanskrit play, ‘Daksha Yajna’, and a Kannada play, ‘Kamsa Vadhe’, in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam.

Rendered with deep devotion and reverence by celebrated singer Sri Vijay Prakash, this sacred musical offering was released on the auspicious occasion of the 34th Vardhanti Mahotsava of Sringeri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam at Guru Nivasa, Sringeri.
Sri Vijay Prakash also had the blessed opportunity to offer Sangeeta Seva during Sri Chandramoulishwara Puja, in the divine presence of Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam.
