Mahashivaratri
Mahashivaratri was observed at Sringeri by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam on February 15, 2026. During the day, Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam offered worship at the ancient temple of Sri Malahanikareshwara at Ishwaragiri. Sri Mahasannidhanam first worshipped Sri Stambha Ganapati, and then performed a special Puja to Lord Malahanikareshwara with Phala-Panchamrita Abhisheka and Rudrabhisheka. Thereafter Sri Mahasannidhanam performed a special Puja to Goddess Bhavani. Later, Sri Sannidhanam worshipped Sri Stambha Ganapati, and then performed a special Puja to Lord Malahanikareshwara with Phala-Panchamrita Abhisheka and Rudrabhisheka. After that, Sri Sannidhanam performed a special Puja to Goddess Bhavani.
Earlier in the morning, Shatarudra Abhisheka was performed at the temple of Sri Adi Shankaracharya, the Avatara of Sri Parameshwara.
In the evening from 7:30 PM, Sri Mahasannidhanam performed the elaborate first Yaama Puja of the Chaturyaama Mahashivaratri Puja to Lord Chandramoulishwara in Gurunivas. Sri Sannidhanam then performed the Chandramoulishwara Puja during the subsequent Yaamas. The Chaturyaama Pujas concluded on the next day (February 16) by 6:00 AM.
This year, Dolotsava of the Utsava Murti of Sri Bhavani Malahanikareshwara Swami was conducted at Pravachana Mandira on February 13, 14 and 16 in the divine presence of the Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam.
On February 17, the Sringeri Jagadgurus witnessed Mahamangalarati at Sri Malahanikareshwara temple after Laksha Mallikarchana had been performed. Sri Malahanikareshwara Rathotsava then took place with Sri Sannidhanam leading the procession.
As part of the elaborate Rathotsava festivities that began on Magha Krishna Dashami (February 12), Parayana of the Vedas, Shiva Purana, Devi Bhagavata and Ganesha Purana as well as Mantra Japa took place.
On February 18, in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam, the Poornahuti of the Maharudra Yaga, which commenced on February 14, took place in the morning while in the evening, Sandhana Utsava (conducted in the temple of Goddess Sharadamba) and Teppotsava took place.

Shrauta MahaSammelanam Concludes
The annual Shrauta Maha Sammelan was conducted at Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sri Sharada Peetham from Vishwavasu Samvatsara, Magha-Krishna-Chaturthi (February 5, 2026) to Magha-Krishna-Shashti (February 7, 2026). The event concluded with a valedictory function on February 7th evening. Agnihotris and scholars in the Vedas, Shastras and Shrauta from various parts of Bharat were honoured in this grand event. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam blessed one and all with an Anugraha Bhashanam in chaste Sanskrit.

Sharadamba Maharathotsava
The annual Sharadamba Maharathotsava took place on February 04, 2026. The Utsava Murti of Goddess Sharadamba was taken along the main streets of Sringeri in a decorated Ratha. Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam led the procession amidst chants of the Vedas. The previous day, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam performed a special Puja to Goddess Sharadamba.
As part of the Celebrations, a Shatachandi Yaga was conducted near the Sharadamba temple. The Poornahuti of the Shatachandi Yaga, which commenced on February 01, took place in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam on February 05. Teppotsava of Goddess Sharadamba took place in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam the same evening.
