The thick relationship beetween the Ithihasa of Kadur and the World Famous Sri Sringeri Shankara Math is traced back to centuries of years. It had been the profound prayer of the populace of Kadur to establish a branch of Sri Sharada Peetah. This fervent wish and the dreams turned into reality on the 28th November 2001. The branch had been inaugurated on the Shubha muhurtha of karthika Shukla Thrayodhasi (in Asvini Nakshtra)

There are three Shrines. In conformity with the rules laid down in Shastras the Prathishtapana was consecreated by H.H.Jagadguru Sri Sri Bhathi Theertha Swamigal amidst a sea of devotees .

Sanskrita Shiromanies of ester years recall with deep reverence of the memorable days when the Jagadguru Sri Sri Chandrasekhara Bharathi Swamigal the 34th pontiff of Sri Sharada Mutt had practised Shastra Adhyayana under the guidance of Shri K. Shankara Sastri before he was crowned as Matathipathi.  There was also a Samskrita Vidya peetah which functioned at Narayanapura Agrahara which was very near to the Sri Math permises.

In the 19th century, due to non availaibility of motorable road, vehicles for travel and postal arrangements, people had to trek by foot if they want to visit Sringeri.

Vijay Yatra

The Very first Dharma Digvijaya of Jagadguru Sri Sri Abhinava Vidya Theertha Swamigal materialised only on 29. 5 .1962 when Swamigal camped at Kadur on 30th& 31th May and 1st Jun of 1962. Again when he graced the locale at Birur on 4th and 5th Jun 1962 Swamigal extended his Anumathi for the construction of a branch at Kadur.

Annadhana Choultry

Sri Purnayya the Divan of Mysore under Tippu Sultans Reign was kind enough to arrange for the construction of a Choultry and Annadhana for pilgrims who come by walk.

Now within the temple complex a yagasala, has been added for the performance of Homa Yagna etc.
