The consecration of the Sharada Vidya Kendra took place during the auspicious muhurta wishaba lagnam 7,30 am -8.30am. on May 8, 1992.

The deities Mahaganapathi AdiShankara & Sri Sharadhamba , made of panchaloha , were consecrated according to vedic rites which included abhisheka with the water of many sacred tirthas. The installation itself was preceded by many rites such as jaladhivas & dhanyadhivasa.

to Golden Kalash

After the kumbabhisheka the jagadguru did abhisheka & puja to the golden kalasha atop the white marble roof of each shrine Ganesha , Sharadha , Adishankara in that order. A Helicopter dipped low to shower rose petals on the kalashas as the kumbabhisheka was in progress.

The consecration was preceded by Shankara Jayanthi mahostava from 3rd May 1992  to 7th May 1992,  Ati Rudra Mahayagana from May 10 to May 16 & Sahasrachandi Mahayagnam from May 18 to May 22.

His Holiness also observed the Chaturmasaya vrata in Mumbai in 1992 which concluded with a grand vidwatsadas.
