Sri Durgamba Rathotsava

The annual Durgamba Rathotsava, took place at Sringeri on February 26, 2026 at the temple of Goddess Durgamba. Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam led the Rathotsava. The event was witnessed by many devotees who had gathered at the temple for the event. Earlier, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam performed an elaborate Puja at noon amidst chanting of Veda Mantras by the Pandits of Sringeri Math. During the Arati time, Sri Sannidhanam also had Darshan. On February 27, Poornahuti of the Shata Chandi Yaga performed on the occasion, took place in the divine presence of Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam.

A divine, festive glimpse of the Pallakki Utsava and Dharmic activities held for Loka Kalyana on the eve of Sri Durgamba Rathotsava at Sringeri.

As per age-old tradition, the Sringeri Jagadguru Shankaracharya proceeds on foot to the Haravari Sri Mallikarjuna–Sri Durgamba Sannidhi, walking through the paddy fields, offering worship at the ancient shrines along the way, and blessing the villagers en route, to preside over the annual Sri Durgamba Rathotsava.
